I just completed Craig Johnson’s latest novel “The Brother’s McKay” and enjoyed the tense drama of Walt Longmire of the old TV series, getting caught in the midst of a wildfire while trying to bring an alleged murderer to justice.
The action filled the last half of the book. It’s one of those westerns that are essentially a microcosm of daily life. In addition to the fires, there is also flooding, interesting in lieu of the terrible disaster at the Grand Canyon.
Even you’re not into the western culture, Mr. Johnson is a master storyteller. I know you’d enjoy it.
