I’ve been a season ticket holder for a major college football program for the past 35+ years.
I always enjoyed rooting for “Our Guys” who had to study & experience college just like the rest of our student body.
Boy have times changed. These are no longer “amateur” athletes (although I say that with a grain of salt). They are PROFESSIONALS.
I used to be a great fan of almost all professional sports. Several years ago I stopped following, stopped watching, stopped caring about any of them. I hung on to college football.
Now, I’m considering not renewing my tickets in 2026. It’s unfortunate money is corrupting every aspect of sports.
I will still enjoy high school sports. That is until money screws that up. Wonder how you feel about this.
